Marty was found on the streets of North Philadelphia as a stray dog who was turned over to the Philadelphia SPCA. He was matted, thin and scared. He has since been groomed, having regular meals, vetted and altered. We do not know anything about his history but it seems he had been teased in the past. He is a sweet, playful, obedient, house trained boy but he has a fear of hands or faces near his head. We're not sure what happened in the past but he will growl if you quickly touch his head. Because he is happy and carefree in every other aspect we are concluding that something happened and it's going to little time and understanding for him to no be so sensitive. Otherwise he is a great boy! You can take toys out of his mouth (he loves toys), he is not possessive over his food and is happy to meet new people. We are looking for an adult home for him that will give him the time to resolve his fear of head touching. Fenced in yard is preferred.
