Fergi is a very lovable 18 mo. old mixed breed of what we think is Labrador Retriever, Golden, with a touch of Beagle thrown into the mix. She has all her shots and 2nd year rabies vaccine, is spayed and microchipped (which can be transferred), and is registered with the Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Although she's done growing physically now, Fergi continues to get smarter and smarter. She is crate trained, and sometimes seeks its sanctuary just to get away from being a dog. She sits, comes, shakes hands (both hands), "go into crate" and now has taken over our bed as "her place" to sleep (Fergi's "place" is a large blanket we put at the foot of the bed). After 2 days of training her, when it's bed time, she runs into our bedroom, jumps onto "her place", puts her head on the bed's end board, and goes to sleep.
Unfortunately, Fergi progressed into her latter puppy years as too much for us to handle. When she grew larger (and we, as retired disabled citizens became weaker) we realized that we can no longer take care of her. She needs a more active life, which we can't give her,
Fergi's leaving us will devastate us, but we have no choice.
Please, find it in your hearts to adopt her, You will not be sorry.
