Max and Molly need an angel!  Their mom died very unexpectedly and they have found themselves torn away from everything they have ever known.  They are bonded siblings, 6 years old, spayed and neutered, house trained, up-to-date on all of their vetting and are just waiting for that special forever home.  They are wonderful dogs.  They love everyone, including children, cats and other dogs.  Their kitty siblings were Pekoe and Chai, also looking for forever homes.  Molly is a black lab mix and weighs 70 pounds right now.  She is very overweight, so her foster family has her on a diet.  She should weigh about 55 pounds once she gets down to a normal weight.  She is an extremely calm dog and is so happy just to be near her people.  She obviously misses her mom, but she adores her foster parents and loves to put her head on their laps for some pats and love.  Max is a yellow lab mix and weighs 54 pounds right now.  He is a little under weight, so we are working on getting him to eat a little more.  He is tall, handsome, very happy and smiles.  He wants to be near you and will be your total companion and best friend.  Both dogs have so much love to give.  They know some basic commands and are thrilled to sit for treats or attention. 

Since Max and Molly’s mom was retired, they are used to having someone home during the day.  They are also used to a fenced yard, where they can sit outside and watch the world go by.  We want them to have a home as close as possible to what they were used to before their mom died. They are mourning her, have not been very interested in eating and had been restless, but they are now finally starting to eat and go into that deep sleep that dogs have when they feel safe. There is no adoption fee for Max and Molly, we are just looking for a home where their new owners will understand their loss and will continue to love them through this difficult time in their lives.
