Guinea Pig (long coat) : : Female (not spayed) : : Young : : Small
Meet Iris and Heather! We are THRILLED to announce that sweet little Iris is finally ready for adoption!! This little girl has been through so much. She arrived at DPR with a massive abscess on her face - it was 65 grams, which was 10% of her body weight at the time! Aside from that, she was skin and bones and very lethargic. But goodness is this little girl a fighter!! She underwent 3 surgeries to remove the infection and the damanged tissue. She was on medications for weeks, daily wound care, and weekly vet visits. She was such a trooper through everything, she seemed to know we were trying to help her, and she was always extremely agreeable with what needed to be done. She has finally healed, she's finished her medicines, and she's plumped up to a nice healthy weight (850 grams, compared to 600 grams when she arrived). She gets super excited about her hay and her veggies and has been getting extra treats for being such an exceptionally brave girl. Iris has long silky hair and a sweet personality to go along with her good looks. Check out their cute videos-https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTL8pdyhw/ https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTL8gKnkq/
