Meet Jinu! This adorable little 4 month old kitten arrived at the shelter with a badly injured front left leg. They think maybe he was hit by a car. It was thought that he'd likely need an amputation, but thankfully with some x-rays, TLC, and physical therapy, it was determined that amputation was not necessary! He made a miraculous full recovery and now you'd never know it was even injured! He is a sweet and loving kitten who loves to be pet and snuggled. He is wonderful with the other cats and kittens at his foster home and does great with kids as well. Just an awesome little kitten all around, he'll make a wonderful addition to any home!

This cat is neutered, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
   Adoption fee is: $300

This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
